Real-life superheroes take to the streets in South Africa Posted on 3 October 2013 Tags:Cape Town, Durban, jozi, South Africa Every now and again you come across something that makes you a little prouder to be a South African. The latest digital campaign from M-Net Movies, to promote its month of superhero movies, is a great example. Instead of bombarding good folk with highlight reel after highlight of heroes in green-screened action, they did something which made me feel a little fuzzier inside. Check it out: There’s not much that can make South Africa more special than it already is. But a few weeks ago, we noticed something that doesn’t take place everyday … a superhero invasion across Jozi, Cape Town and Durban! A while back, @mnetmovies asked people how a superhero could brighten up their day by getting bloggers from each city to ask their readers. There were some interesting requests that ranged from Batman cooling down cyclists to The Hulk helping park cars on Long Street. There were also a lot of requests to visit kids less fortunate than most of us. This is how the Superheroes rocked up in SA. These #Superheroes are rocking up on M-Net Movies Showcase (DSTV channel 108) every night at 19h00 for the whole month of October. To follow the action, keep your eyes locked on the @mnetmovies Twitter handle.
