Jambo Jet: a new budget airline for Kenya is ready to take off Posted on 8 November 2012 Tags:Africa, Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nairobi, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda A new Kenyan budget airline, Jambo Jet, recently received its first route licences from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and is looking to start flying by the end of the year. The airline plans to operate six domestic and 16 international routes in Africa from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Destinations planned for Jambo Jet include: Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Comoros Islands and Mayotte.
