The Skinstads join the Put Foot Rally Posted on 8 April 2011 Tags:Cape Town, iceland, South Africa At roughly 09h10 on Saturday morning we popped into the 95.4 KFM studios in Cape Town for a visit to the Bob Skinstad Saturday morning breakfast show. At first we were a bit dazzled by the ‘Starship Enterprise’ (the millions of buttons & flashing lights that make a radio station work), but alas there was some relief for our rally chief, Milhose, who was not required to do anything but sit still and talk into the big yellow microphone. After a brief 3-minute chat with Bob, broadcasting to the millions of KFM and Highveld radio listeners, we were about to wrap it up when Bob Skinstad dropped a little surprise: The Skinstad family had secretly entered a crew on the Put Foot Rally 2011! The Crew: ‘Dad Skinstad’, Bob (No.1) and Andy (No.3) Crew Name: to be confirmed Crew Vehicle: to be confirmed * Watch this space for more info. Missing from the action is No.2 – Danny Skinstad, who decided to crank it up a notch and take on an incredible challenge: kayaking all the way (5000km) around Iceland with none other than chief lunatic and South Africa’s own mega adventurer Riaan Manser.
